Day Twenty Seven: Family is Forever

IMG_3413.JPGFamily is forever

When we moved from Sydney my biggest worry and the reason we kept putting it off was because I didn’t want to leave my family. Our support network.

My family is made up of my mum, dad, sister, brother, their partners and my niece. I am also lucky enough to have my Granny and Nanna. Both a huge part of my life. Then there’s all my aunties and uncles and cousins. These people, my family, as extended as they are I love each and everyone of them.

But I knew that my little family had to go it alone and we had to build a new support network and a new extended family.

And that we did. We have neighbours who we consider family, we have friends we consider family. Our family just got bigger when we moved.

Today, I’m so proud of my wonderful husband and beautiful children for settling into a new life so easily and establishing beautiful friendships.

Who is our family today?

My wonderful husband Saxon.

My beautiful children earthside; Orlando, Indiana and Lucia.

My beautiful daughter I carry in my heart, Charlize.

And who would’ve thought we’d have three goats; Bertie, Oscar and Daisy.

Five roosters; Olaf, Wilbur, Maleficent, Lavender and Olivia who when started crowing became Oliver.

Eight hens; Anna, Batman, Katy-Perry, Henny-Penny, Belle, Satay, Terriyaki and Elsa.

Five baby chicks, Happy-Feet, Miss Lottie and three still need names.

Six ducks; Daphne, Daisy, Peking, Huey, Duey and Louie.

One guinea pig; La-La.

And one very spoilt cat; Fluffy.

These gorgeous animals are part of our family too.

And of course we are always surrounded by butterflies.

This is our beautiful family today, who knows what tomorrow brings ….

…. maybe an alpaca or two!
